My staghorn is turning brown. What should I do? 02/27/2008
We're a Garden Watchdog Top 5 company
My staghorn is turning brown. What should I do? Many species of Platycerium shield fronds turn brown after they mature. All of the pup-forming species can store large amounts of water in the cork tissue of old shield fronds and eventually all of these turn brown. The non-pupping species gets it water by spreading the top of it shield to collect water. These shield fronds will stay green.
