Growing a giant doesn't have to be hard work. Follow these simple steps for a happy fern:

Perfect Spot: Choose a location with dappled shade. Protect it from the harsh, direct midday sun which can scorch the delicate leaves.
Simple Planting: Dig a hole just deep enough for the roots. Mix in some organic compost and add a layer of mulch around the base to keep the ground cool.
Watering: Keep the soil moist. On warm days, simply spray the trunk and the top crown (the center "hole") with your garden hose.
Feeding: Give it a liquid seaweed feed once a month during spring and summer to fuel its fast growth.
Winter Protection: Best in Zones 9-11. If frost is predicted, protect the crown by placing a handful of straw or horticultural fleece in the top opening.
