Polypodium Aureum Mandalanum Crested: This unusual and hard to find variety, grows very well in baskets and containers, just need good drainage and filtered sunlight. It is a creeping, simi-evergreen fern that is large growing and has arching, oblong to triangular, grayish green and deeply pinnatifid fronds that are crested at the tips that can grow up to 5 feet long.
 
Polypodium formosanum (Grubb Fern): considered terrestrial or epiphytic ferns, with a creeping, densely hairy or scaly rhizome bearing fronds at intervals along its length. They grow great in baskets and are great in the garden growing on tree trunks and rocks. The species differ in size and general appearance the fronds, which are evergreen, persisting for 1-2 years.
 
Davallia Fejeensis (Major): An extremely popular fern choice that grows great in baskets.They can be grown into large specimens. The individual coarse fronds on a healthy plant can live up to 2 to 3 years which are pale green in color. The thick rhizomes that grow through the air. This species is one of the varieties grown.
