3 Polypodium ferns (Epiphyte)
Polypodium Aureum Mandalanum Crested: This unusual and hard to find variety, grows very well in baskets and containers, just need good drainage and filtered sunlight. It is a creeping, simi-evergreen fern that is large growing and has arching, oblong to triangular, grayish green and deeply pinnatifid fronds that are crested at the tips that can grow up to 5 feet long.
 
Polypodium formosanum (Grubb Fern): considered terrestrial or epiphytic ferns, with a creeping, densely hairy or scaly rhizome bearing fronds at intervals along its length. They grow great in baskets and are great in the garden growing on tree trunks and rocks. The species differ in size and general appearance the fronds, which are evergreen, persisting for 1-2 years.
 
Polypodium Scouleri: This species is native to the western U.S. coastal forest. It grows best in moist humus soil conditions on rocks, trees and park logs. This fern has deeply lobed leathery evergreen fronds with creeping rhizomes that grow up to 8 - 12 inches tall slowly spreading out. Requires good drainage and is a beautiful addition to your garden or patio in hanging baskets or containers.
